Reasons To Be Cheerful

1. My number 1 reason is quite a big one, today is my blogs 1st birthday! 


I almost didn't realise until I was looking through a few old posts. When I started a year a go I didn't really know what I was doing. I don't know if I'm any better now mind you, but it seems to be going well. I'm enjoying it which is the main thing. 
It is also making me get projects done around the house. Which was one of my incentives for blogging in the first place.
If I hadn't started this blog I know there is no way I would have gotten so much done.


2. We have had a lovely week off for half term.


We haven't done anything really exciting, just some lovely walks, a trip to see The Muppets and out for some pizza. Perfect. Just not having to get everyone out in the mornings is blissful


3. Today was the first opportunity I had to garden this year. 


I managed to grab a few hours when it didn't rain this afternoon, weeding, tidying beds and examining all my plants. It has been some difference from last year when I lost so many to the hard frost. This year there are annuals which are still amazingly alive. It was so good to get my hands dirty again.


4. I have become addicted to fake eyelashes!


Not the huge cow like ones, just the subtle shorter ones. I have the shortest eyelashes ever and have tried unsuccessfully to use the strip eye lashes. A friend has been doing a beauty course and fitted me with just the right amount of individual lashes. I love them and its great that they make me look a little bit less exhausted!
I am going to have this poor girl tortured, 'come fit my eyelashes'.
