I am one of the guest hosts for her R2BC blog hop.
R2BC is back home again with its Mummy at Michelle's blog next week!
I have always enjoyed linking up to R2BC, so it is a pleasure to host it for Michelle. I hope I do it justice!
My reasons this week are.
1. The 3 eldest children who are at school have all settled really well in their new classes.
Lots of talk about new friends and meeting up again with the old ones. N started Primary 1, and thankfully has taken to it like a duck to water. Fingers crossed it will last.
2. Autumn is here.
Without doubt my favourite season of the year. I adore cosy Autumn nights and crisp Autumn days walking in the leaves.
I have begun my annual 'cosying' up of the house with lots of cushions, candles and warm throws.
We even had apple sponge and custard last night, so that really means Autumn is here.
3. We have a not too busy weekend ahead so I will get a chance to do what I love best, potter about.
I haven't made anything in ages but have a list of things to do, which is just how I like it.
I will keep you posted....
4. As we near the end of the gardening year, I am delighted with what we achieved in our garden this year.
It was nothing but lawn at the beginning of the year.
We have put in 4 flower beds, a raised veg bed, put up a cottage fence, had a tree house built for the children and planted some trees and large shrubs. It was a busy summer but really worth it.
We still have a huge amount to do but with a garden you're never done, and I am looking forward to it.

ReplyDeleteIt's so satisfying getting jobs in the garden done, isn't it! I have a list as long as my arm (and weeds of a similar height) but finally feel as though I'm making headway, even if I did have to garden in my waterproofs last weekend!

The garden is a real achievement. I love your pictures and the whole idea of "cosying up" the house and will steal that one immediately.
